everything counts in large amounts

a small pale boy with a big black bag . dirty blonde hair slicked back in place . depressed yet innocent eyes . always looking down . looks like the sort of kid who would belong to a military home . so young looking that looking at him feels almost wrong . must be a freshman . he looks secretly artsy, sad too . his skin looks so soft and delicate, touching his face would be like touching my little sister's . so quiet and mysterious . wears long sleeves under all his shirts . he's always either looking out the window or looking down . i wish i knew more about this boy .
-------------
i've decided to ignore the fact that nothing's going good . maybe i'll forget . went through some old photographs with my grandparents today, i can't describe that . it's like going through their memories, reliving their past . my grandfather turned 76 yesterday . i told him if he'll give me another six years, (by that time i should have a degree in pharmacy, a cougar and rich fiance), we can all go to europe on my behalf . and we'll all live happily ever after in my dreams .
depeche mode . everything counts (live)
the handshake seals the contract
from the contract there's no turning back
the turning point of a career
in korea being insincere
the holiday was fun-packed
the contract, still intact
the grabbing hands grab all they can
all for themselves, after all
the grabbing hands grab all they can
all for themselves, after all
it's a competitive world
everything counts in large amounts
the graph on the wall
tells the story of it all
picture it now just see how
the lies and deceit gained
a little more power
confidence, taken in
by a suntan and a grin
the grabbing hands grab all they can
all for themselves, after all
the grabbing hands grab all they can
all for themselves, after all
it's a competitive world
everything counts in large amounts
the grabbing hands grab all they can
everything counts in large amounts
